Dues February 23, 2007

Initiate dues are $65.  The dues are broken down as follows:

• $35 – National Dues
• $10   – Local Dues
• $20 – Initiation expenses (dinner, lapel pin, certificate)

You can pay by check (made payable to “Kappa Delta Pi”) or cash (make sure that you give it to an officer personally  and get a written receipt).

After your initiate year, you only have to pay the dues to the national chapter if you wish to remain an active member.

Requirments for Initiation February 23, 2007

• Attendance of no less than 5 meetings (to include up to 2 committee meetings)
• No less than 20 hours of documented community service, 5 of which must be Chapter events.

Please do not stop documenting service after 20 hours

• Attendance at 1 professional development event
• Attendance at 1 social event
• Pay initiate dues

Requirments for Candidacy February 23, 2007

Undergraduate

• 3.2 cumulative GPA
• Major in education-related field
• Second-semester Sophomore standing
• programmed for at least 12 credits of education classes

Graduate

• 3.75 graduate GPA
• Major in education-related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in education-related field
• programmed for at least 6 credits of education classes
