The following are community service as well as events that our chapter has participated in for the 2oo6-2007 year: 

  • 2 Scholastic Book Fairs
  • Christmas cards sent to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the Seneca Hill Nursing Home
  • Cans to salvation army for the holidays
  • sent 2 food baskets as well as gifts and stockings to 13 people (5 families) through a local Catholic Charities Kinship Support program
  • held a Resume Workshop
  • fundraising for the American Cancer Society through Daffodil Days
  • tutoring at the YMCA
  • adopted a family through Catholic Charities. 
  • attended an info. fair, Hart Hall presentation about the Society

  • Monday, March 5, 2007: 8-9pm (Reading is Fun Week Planning, Induction Planning)
  • Thursday, March 15, 2007: 8-9 pm (St. Patrick’s Day Cards, Panel Discussion with members)
  • Thursday, April 12, 2007: 8-9pm
  • Monday, April 23, 2007: 8-9pm

  • Daffodil Order Forms due: March 1st @ the latest to Heather 

  • Social Event & Professional Development: “Looking for Educational Equity” Lecture @ Syracuse University, 4pm Email: Lynch@oswego.edu if interested!

  • Spring Break: March 19-23 (Volunteer!!!)

  • Daffodils Delivered: March 26th

  • Teacher Recruitment Days: March 26, March 27 (Cortland)

  • Clothesline Project with Lifestyles (volunteer @ a booth): April 9-11

  • Reading is Fun Week: April 16-20

  • LIT Night: Possibly Thursday, April 19th

  • Honors Convocation: April 20th

  • Inductions: Saturday, April 21st
